Justice League (2017)

    Yeah I know, it’s not out yet but that doesn’t beg the fact that there are a few noticeable “issues” in the ComicCon trailer. So let’s quickly Pro – Con this based on the trailer

Quick question: where’s the Green Lantern?

My guess is he would probably be in pursuit of the movie’s villain from outer space, so they probably don’t want to spoil that moment of awe for us…anyway…

Pros

1.      Yaay! It’s finally getting a movie!

This is probably the biggest turn-on that this movie is providing. The fact that a Justice League movie is being made in itself is a big score on the “decisions I made that I’m happy I did” scale for DC. The Justice League movie is probably the most anticipated comic book team-up movie of all times.

2.      Justice League vs Avengers

Another reason for any comic / movie lover to get loads of tingling sensation is the fact that we finally get to see a “head-to-head” sort of situation between Marvel’s Avengers and DC’s Justice League. The days of saying “if there was a Justice League movie it would definitely be better than any Avengers movie” or “a Justice League movie can’t possibly be better than any Avengers movie” will be greeted goodbye. No more speculations, you just have to see both movies and do the comparing and contrasting yourself.

Cons

1.      Ben Affleck as Batman… really?

This has already been discussed under Dawn of Justice so shouldn’t have been here necessarily but just to re-point it out to you.

2.      Ezra Miller’s The Flash

Now though Ezra Miller is a nice actor, good looking if I may and seemed to have put up a good presentation of Barry Allen in the trailer, not the gloomy, beatdown hero we got in Grant Gustin; which means we should be hoping for a lovely show of our Scarlet Speedster unlike the apology we got in the TV series (no offense to the CW, they are doing a great job). The features and CGI seemed to have been out of place.

Contrary to the generally known fact that Barry Allen is blonde, Ezra seemed to have spotted a full black hair throughout the trailer (which automatically means that’s how it would be throughout the movie, wouldn’t want to see what a blonde Ezra Miller would look like though LOL).

And there’s the Speedforce…ooohh the Speedforce. This is the second biggest Trademark of The Flash right after his Yellow Lightning bolt symbol, it is YELLOW not BLUE?!, we would be getting more of a ‘Zoom from CW’s The Flash’ or ‘Black Flash’ which was a rarely seen or even known variation of Flash and his costume was definitely not Red, it was as the name implied; freaking Black (he’s probably the guy they ripped off to create Zoom at CW)

3.      WonderWoman – clashing wrist guard move…durrh

The first time I saw this in Dawn of Justice I was like “wow! That was cool” but seeing it here again made me wonder;” is it that after all these years, fighting alongside men or back at Themiscyra training and/or fighting this is the only move WonderWoman could come up with?” I mean if that’s the case then what is the point of training so hard over the years, they should have been like “oh go learn that move and after that you become invincible”. Chances are the preview is just a re-show of the ‘wrist guard clashing’ from Dawn of Justice, let’s just hope this is what it is.

4.      Cyborg or CGIborg??

I sincerely hope the CGI for Cyborg is the way it is because they had to use unfinished work to make the trailer. If not I dare to say even Terminator 1 had better CGI!

5.      Arthur Curry needs anger management

Either Arthur Curry / Aquaman’s anger issues really need a hell of a lot of management or Batman has miraculously transformed from his all too serious self into a wise-cracker with some bad jokes…
